PODCAST: What's Next For The Dallas Mavericks?

In what could be the understatement of the century, Mavs GM Nico Harrison has his work cut out for him going into the offseason.

After all the drama that came in the aftermath of the Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis trade, both the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers found themselves disappointed with the immediate results.

The injury-riddled Mavs barely scraped into the NBA Play-In Tournament but ultimately fell short of making the playoffs. The Lakers, who ended up with the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, thanks in large part to the addition of Doncic, were sent home in the first round of the playoffs by Anthony Edwards, Rudy Gobert, and the Minnesota Timberwolves in just five games.

Today, we discussed how both teams’ seasons ended, as well as a look ahead to what the Mavs’ offseason could look like. With a guaranteed lottery pick in a stacked 2025 NBA Draft, will Nico Harrison use the pick or trade it? Could the Mavs somehow find themselves in the Kevin Durant or Giannis Antetokounmpo trade sweepstakes?
